Change

Much has changed in the last several months. I spend a ton of time in hospitals and doctor's offices. They finally have a diagnosis and treatment that seems to help. I have hypophysitis, or pituitary failure. It is hard to diagnose, and the treatment is hard to adjust to, and I am by no means cured, or all the way better, but at least it is a start. I no longer lie in bed too tired to do anything but stare at walls, and I am starting to be able to parent again. I can even walk without fainting upon standing, and drive a car, which is nice. Benjamin had a hard time with all of this. He thought I was going to die. We have a great counselor who is working with him, and I am learning how to spend time with him doing what I am able to do. It is a vast improvement. Damon got a summer job working at Briks 4 Kidz, which is a huge blessing. He will have an income, and be out of my hair most of the summer. The best perk is that Benjamin gets a free Lego camp out of the deal as well. He'll love it. Benjamin fell and scraped his face, hands, and knees up really bad yesterday at school. It reopened a scar where he had to get stitches when he was hit by a boomerang his dad threw. He was up until 1:00am because it hurt. I finally figured out why he kept getting up and gave him Tylenol and that seems to have settled him down and he slept. I hope he's okay at school today. I have a new blog and new blogging relationships. That information is all at http://www.newswahl.com. I am super excited. It also relegates this blog to my personal and private blog. So here is where I will be updating family information, and sharing our struggles and triumphs. Right now money is tight so anything I can do to save or bring in extra is a bonus. We also have managed to get Benjamin more Hollywood Kids Academy classes by making me their social media manager, which is a pretty big job. I am excited for him to be able to do more, and to be able to use my talents to promote such a wonderful program. It should be great. Well, life is slowly improving. Benjamin's ADHD is responding really well to Straterra, and he is reading at a super high level. He has finished all the sight words at school and the phrases and gets a special reward for it. He has also memorized all of his part for his upcoming play Alice in Wonderland. He gets to be the King of Hearts. Damon is testing like mad for next year, and just got back from yet another adventure at Sea Camp. This time I was able to be home and not sick. I am on medication that is life altering, but need a second opinion out of state yet again. In the meantime we are blessed to be where we are. If we had enough money to pay all our bills I might actually describe our state as blissful. :)
